Um...is it May?

Yeah, I know I'm in big trouble for not posting anything in months. I was doing so good and then kind of fell in a black hole. Everytime I would log on to my laptop I would see my blog with out three smiling faces and the date Feb 25 looming at me. It was too much to handle so I kept avoiding it. Things have been a little stressful in the Hastings family and there have been some significant events. But I think I have avoided my blog for long enough and hopefully I am ready to dive back in with more updates and pictures.
So, as I mentioned above, there have been some significant events in our life. First Caralin had her 2nd birthday. We ended up having it at the park. There were some obstacles to overcome, like no power in the gazeebo for the crockpots, the big gazeebos were all taken, and the spray park was broken, but it turned out to be a really nice day. Next year though, cake and punch at our house!
Another big event was we found out that we are expecting another baby in late November! We are very excited but so far this pregnancy has been totally different from Caralin's. I have not been feeling very well and can't wait to crawl in bed at night as soon as Caralin's asleep (another reason my blog has been neglected). I often wonder (and worry) about what life will be like with two. Everyone tells me it's a lot different, and harder! Oh baby!
Okay the third big event is Kevin's schedule got switched back to a normal day shift. And yet a fourth event, Caralin is finally potty trained! I am still almost scared to say it (or type it) out loud! Like I might jinks it or something. She has finally leaped the last hurdles of telling me when she has to go and stopping playing when she has to go! It is very exciting! It took a long time, but I am glad I let her go at her pace. She is such a big girl!
Caralin is very excited about her new "baby sister" (we don't know the baby's sex yet but, apparently she does). She knows "she's" in mama's tummy but sometimes thinks "she's" in hers. She gives my tummy hugs and kisses...very cute! She is going to be a great big sister! She is growing so fast. Her newest things are singing (lots of nursery ryhmes/songs and Sugarland (country music)), saying "What's that?" or "What's that noise?", listing things or people she knows, and saying "Mama, guess what?". My little talker! She loves to give "big hugs" and kisses (usually about 5 in a row). I have been choreographing a dance for my niece Bailey's class and she tries to follow along with me when I am practicing and says, "Like this?". I love it!
Well I will save some stuff for my next post, which I promise will be soon. Please keep our family in your prayers! Love to all. Here are some pictures... enjoy!
