Back-To-School

It's here! School starts tomorrow for Caralin! (Well officially on Wednesday but tomorrow she goes with us for an orientation and to meet her teacher and her new classmates).

I am so excited for what this year has in store for her and I can't wait to see all she learns! I'll post pics of our morning tomorrow.

Project 52 - Week wh-WHAT???

OK, OK... we all know I'd fall behind sooner or later, and March officially did me in. Even now thinking back about everything, it's pretty much a blur! Kevin's Grandmother passed away, JK admissions for Caralin, multiple birthdays and parties (including Caralin's), colds, and flus, lots of work, incorporating a non-profit business, service project... and that's just what comes to me at the momment. Man, I'm tired just typing it out.

Well, amongst all the craziness we definatly found some time to just have fun and be silly together. One of the girls favorite things to do (and it takes up a good chunk of our day) is dress up and do makeup. Here is a video of some pics from a recent "beauty session". Having girls is so fun!

Project 52 - Week 7

Ok, so I'm not perfect and I completely missed a post! Whoops! So I will catch up by posting two this week.

This picture is from week 7, Valentines Day actually.

It was a wonderful day! Our preschool volunteer group spent the morning visiting with some sweet seniors at two local assisted living homes. They passed out Valentines and smiles and hugs. It was very sweet and I am very proud of our kids and how excited they are to serve and love others. What a blessing!

Project 52 - Week 6!

BIEBER FEVER! ~EEEEEEKKKKK!!!!~

On Friday, I took my 12 year old niece, Bailey, to see the new Justin Bieber movie, "Never Say Never". It was a really cute movie (more like a documentary of how he started) and really put out a message to the young kids watching that they can do anything if they put their heart into it and if they believe in the Lord! I loved that he showed prayer and faith in his movie. I hope that message touched the hearts of the many young people that look up to him.

My niece and I had a lot of fun! Next time... concert!

Project 52 - Week 5

This week's picture was pretty easy to choose! With the help of some amazing friends we launched a volunteer group for preschoolers and their families called One. "One body in Christ. One child will make a difference." The objective is to organize child/family friendly events where the participation focuses on the child leading the way! We had our first event this week: "Valentines for Seniors". It was amazing!

Project 52 - Week 4

Sorry I'm a day late! It's been such a busy week and I'm gearing up for another busy one next week! {Sigh} Oh boy! Needless to say, with all the busyness

(Wait - is that a word? Cause if I changed the "y" to an "i" like I am grammatically inclined to do it will change the word completely, right? I don't know. Oh, well.)

Sorry for going off on a tangent... anyway, I didn't get to take as many pics this week. I did manage to take a few that were for an Etsy order (I was sending pics of flowers to a customer) and my poor children had to be my little models.

They don't always enjoy it but sadly they have no choice. Guess I should check out the child labor laws! {Yikes}

Project 52 - Week 3!

Wow, I was so busy today that I almost missed week three! That would not have been good.

Since it is so late I want to make this short but as I upload the pictures from this week I realize it is gonna be tough (yet again) to pic a favorite!

This week in San Diego we have had beautiful warm weather! Warm enough to play outside, go to the beach, and Sea World. Needless to say, I got some very cute pics of the girls this week playing and enjoying the sunshine!

But with all that said I decided that my favorite of all this week was a shot of my three loves! These two girls love their daddy so much, they ache when he's at work and run to him when he comes home! It's seriously adorable... and I don't blame them.

Project 52 - Week 2

So two weeks in and I realize this is going to be tough to pick which picture will be my favorite each week! My girls are big hams and love to smile for the camera! Hopefully I'll be able to capture significant momments each week. This week I took the girls to the park and it was the first time Madalin was able to explore all by herself. She even slid down the slide all by herself! What a big girl... but still my baby! Here is a picture of my little adventurer!

Project 52 - Week One!

So, I came across this adorable idea and decided it was a must have for the blog this year. Project 52! "What is that?", you ask. Well...

I am going to post my favorite photo from each week for the next year!

So cute, huh?? {eeek} I'm seriously giddy about the idea. It will be fun to see what I come up with each week, and I am hoping I can follow through! {wink} I will continue to do regular posts as well, but every Friday I will share my favorite photo of the week.

This first week was an easy one! My baby started preschool and here is a shot of her geared up and ready for her first day (she had a blast, of course)!
